Sardinia Tour 2019: Last stage Magomadas - Porto Torres
Sunday, 12 August 2018
Sardinia Tour
One of our authors of long standing gives us this wonderful story of his last summer tour in Sardinia.
This year we (Giorgio, Marco, Tom, Ottavio) decided to leave with our MTBs from home, so Friday May 26 we start from Rivarolo Canavese direction Turin Train Station to take the train to Genoa. Arrived in Genoa in a few minutes we arrive at the boarding for the Moby ferry, with the bikes we are the first to go up and so in a short time we are in the cabin to leave our bags and we enjoy our quiet night of navigation toward Porto Torres.

A Jump in Sardinia - Fourth Day
By Lorenzo Spanò
Hello, we decided at end for this short vacation on the pedals, the excuse or the stimulus that this journey has made to look closely at our idols, has given me with great pride the opportunity to visit these wonderful places to my pedal friends. Today we wanted to see them at the top of the Padru climb, because of the weather threatening rain, they anticipated the start. In Padru the streets were blocked and we were forced to wait at the bottom of a descent. Our supplications have come to nothing.

A Jump in Sardinia - Third Day
By Lorenzo Spanò
Hi, today will be a hectic day, bike ride, bathing at the sea and racing to Olbia for the Giro d'Italia stage arrival. A real race against time. We got up early, a nice breakfast then bike, heading up Mount Nieddu and Pitrisconi Falls.

A Jump in Sardinia - First Day
By Lorenzo Spanò
As expected, much work to reorganize and fix the state of abandonment of the Garden and plants. Of course, things to do when you open a home after a year are a lot, in addition if you consider that the house not so bidder than a caravan, figure out 4 bicycles, 4 suitcases, 4 bags for bicycles, helmets, shoes and cell phones cables and Goopro around everywhere! A mess! But it's funny!

A Jump in Sardinia - The departure
by Lorenzo Spanò
Finally after so many preparations, we are leaving. In the morning I and Antonello loaded the car and after several attempts, the bikes were placed on the new bike carrier.
