Day 8: His Majesty the Great Saint Bernard

Today was the most amazing day of my trip. Perhaps the planning was a little too challenging, more than 3000 meters in altitude with the trailer carriage and about 140 km in length. I'm almost going to... take the train ... come on ... Arriving would not have the same value.

Day 7: The tour of the three cantons

Dal Canton of Solothurn to Canton of Fribourg passing through  Canton of Bern

Day 6: Re-crossing the Rhine

The morning begins with a rainy sky, it does not rain, but the road is wet and the sky is not encouraging, the clouds lick and grab in the tall trees of the forest.

Day 5: The Black Forest

The Black Forest is not flat

Today I start with good intentions to enjoy the views of the Black Forest, quietly, rather than making miles.

Day 4: From the Lakes to the Black Forest

From high traffic roads to cycling roads.

Today starting with downhill and going back to the Lucerne Lake (also called "Lake of the Four Forested Cantons"). The first thing I notice when going out the hotel is children going to school riding push scooters very fast down the hill, indeed Isenthal village is laying on the hill side.

Day 3: Urka the Furka!

From the Rhone to the Rhein

Departure from Brig a bit slowly actually, I missed the wake up alarm, let me say not a good starting gun considering the long stage (140 Km with Furkapass to climb) I have in front of me ... it is holiday anyway.

Day 2: Simplon Traffic

The breakfast in the Hotel Monterosa is abundant and excellent enough to start a well riding. Greeted Federico, the hotel owner, who I'm sure is following on the blog, I would recommend the Hotel Monterosa if you are visiting the Orta Lake area.

Day 1: Aldo Pacer, rice fields and Orta Lake

Do you remember Aldo of Pedalando per non dimenticare? Unbelievable pacer today! He went along my first Stage of Turin - Black Forest with me for the first 60 km. With his help (I have been in the wake of him all the time) I arrived up to Santhià with an average speed of about 30 Km/h.
