Ayas Valley (Day 2) - Col De Joux and Col Tze Core

This is the Monte Rosa view from my window when I woke up, completely different from the view the day before. In the evening, chatting with the Hotel Alpe Fleurie owner, he advised me about an alternative route on the way back to Turin. He proposed me to pass through the Col De Joux e Col Tze Core, from Brusson the uphill is not too tough consideraing that the starting point from Brusson is already at 1332 meters of altitude.

Finally the sun gives the right value ate the beauty of these mountains.

Ayas Valley (Day 1)

One of the most emotional things when travelling with bike are the encounters (the encounters of the destiny as Lorenzo is used to call them). The meet up today with Adolfo from Barcelona who is travelling with his mountain bike around the world with the target of reach the Nepal has been a proper encounter of the destiny, I do not believe in randomness in this case.

Adolfo was riding in my opposite direction, towards Torino, while I was riding toward the Aosta Valley, when he saw me with my extrawheel he understood that I was a bike traveller and he soon tried to stop me in order to ask me some information. We introduced each other and of course he also mentioned about his blog called alguienquepedaleaporahi, I hope he will hav time to update it, it would be nice to follow him on cuboviaggiatore. Adolfo had a problem with his rear wheel, he was asking me to show him a good bike shop to repair it. I showed him the way to get to Cicli Bergamin in Torino. I had information later from the bike shop owner that everything was repaired and Adolfo could resume his trip toward Nepal. Have a good luck Adolfo. We will follow and support you.

My trip resumed slowly towards the Aosta Valley, the first stop was for taking some pictures at the  Agliè Castle, where it is of course possible to visit, but unfortunately my short available time didn't allow me to do. Second stop for a having a sandwich in Baio Dora.

Torino - Nevache (Val Claree)

Day 1
Torino - Nevache (130 Km)

Valle di Susa vista da Exilles
Departure from Torino at 7:30 am, I rode for the usual deviation to avoid the traffic to go out the city.

Once arrived on the SS25 before arriving in Susa I met a nice rider, Marco. He started asking information about the Extrawheel, we had a coffee together and he tells me about his trip in Turchia and Santiago de Compostela. I was really impressed about his stories and I propose him to use the CuboViaggiatore blog to share his experiences, that could be useful for people with the intention to do the same trip.

Dopo aver preso un caffè con Marco proseguo il mio viaggio verso Bardonecchia, dove scopro che il giro d'Italia ha lascciato il segno.

Lorenzo wrote on Facebook just before the arrival in Torino and I translate here:

Today is the last day of our trip From Torino to Palermo "Pedaling for not forget". It has been a very valuable trip for me, I lived very emotional and meaningful moments which will remain in my heart forever. Any place we visited was a memory that accompanied me up to the arrival in Torino as well as for the rest of my life. I would like to transmit the emotions to all our volunteers, because when I was visiting the families my feeling of when they were in the hospital was still alive inside me and all of us were living that moment as is was in the present, it was a really beautiful feeling! It is like I was bringing all the UGI with me during my trip. Now I'm approaching the finish line I would love to embrace you all and especially from the families who express this desire to embrace all the people in "casa UGI". I will be on time, let's wait for me!

The arrival of our heroes.

The embrace with Lorenzo's family.
